LeBron James Becomes Youngest NBA Player To Reach 20,000 Points

On Wednesday night LeBron James scored his 20,000th point to become the youngest NBA player to do so. He needed 18 points to get to 20,000 points and scored 25 points in the game. He became just the 38th player in NBA history to score 20,000 in their career. LeBron broke Kobe's record for the youngest player to 20,000 points. Kobe Bryant held the record before Wednesday at 29 years and 122 days old. LeBron now holds the record at 28 years and 17 days old. LeBron probably has a great chance to end his career as the all-time leader scorer. With LeBron keeps up this pace he will break Kobe's record for fastest to 30,000 points which Kobe set earlier this season. Wilt actually holds the record for fewest games to 20,000 points at 499 games. It toke LeBron 726 games. This just shows how great and dominate Wilt was. He scored 40.1 PPG in his first 500 games compared to LeBron who averaged 27.6 PPG. LeBron also reached two other milestones this game. He became 55th player in NBA history to reach 5,000 career assists. With these two milestones he also became the 12th NBA player to have at least 20,000 career points, 5,000 career assists and 5,000 career rebounds.  LeBron is one of the greatest players in NBA history and this just adds another thing to his great list of career achievements which include: 1-time NBA Champion, 1-time Finals MVP, 3-time NBA MVP, 9-time NBA All-Star, 1-time NBA Scoring Title Champion, 6-time All-NBA 1st Team Selection, 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Rookie of the Year and much, much more.
