The New Orleans Hornets won the 2012 NBA Draft Lottery and earned the #1
pick. They got the #1 pick for the second time in team history. The other time
they won was in 1991 when they selected Larry Johnson when the team was in
Charlotte. The draft exactly to form except that the Hornets jumped from #4 to
#1. The Hornets will pick #1 and #10 since they also own the Timberwolves'
pick. The Bobcats will pick #2 instead of #1, Wizards will pick #3 instead of
#2 and the Cavaliers will pick #4 instead of #3. The Kings will pick #5 like
expected, The Trail Blazerss will pick #6 since the Nets' pick was only top
three protect along with their own pick at #11. The Warriors will pick #7 instead
of Utah since the Warriors top seven protected their pick, the Raptors will
pick #8 like expected, the Pistons will pick #9 like expected, the Bucks will
pick #12 like expected, the Suns will pick #13 like expected, and the Rockets
will pick #14 like expected. Everyone expects the Hornets will take Anthony
Davis from Kentucky with the #1 pick. Anthony Davis is easily the #1 pick after
winning all the players of the year and being the 2nd Freshman to win the
Naismith Player of the Year Award and guiding Kentucky to a 38-2 record and the
school's 8th National Title. I think is fun that the National Championship was
in Kentucky and now Davis will most likely play in New Orleans.
