2011 BCS Rankings Update: Week 10

The third BCS rankings of the year came out Sunday. This ranking is important because it decides which if a school makes a BCS bowl game or not and which two schools goes to the BCS National Title Game. I don't really like the BCS because it doesn't give every team a chance to compete for a National Title. I would prefer a 16 team playoff, that way if you lose you can still compete for the National Title. This week in College Football was crazy again  this week. #5 Clemson lost at unranked Georgia Tech. Also #8 Kansas State got beaten easily by Oklahoma at home. Stanford also received a scare from USC only winning by 8 in 3 overtimes. A total of 6 ranked team lost this week. In the Top 10 in the BCS only the Top 3 teams stayed the same.

1. LSU Tigers 8-0 (5-0)
Next Game: @ Alabama.
Last Game: vs. Auburn, W 45-10.
Last Week Rank: 1st
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Sugar
More Information: They were on a bye this week preparing for Alabama this week. They have beaten 5 ranked teams which makes them look really good. Their defense is amazing only giving up 12 points in the 1st quarter, they also are the only team not to allow a TD in the 1st quarter in the nation. They have only let opponents score an average of 11.5 points per game. They should go undefeated, but they do have to go to #2 Alabama this week which will very hard. Arkansas could be tough at the end of the season as well. LSU is the favorite has of now to win it all. My Rank: 1st

2. Alabama Crimson Tide 8-0 (5-0)
Next Game: vs. LSU
Last Game: vs. Tennessee, W 37-6.
Last Week Rank: 2nd
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Sugar
More Information:  This week they had a bye also preparing for LSU this week. Alabama defense is great giving up no more than 14 points in any game. They are only letting opponents score an average of  6.9 points per game. They have Heisman candidate Trent Richardson is a beast running the football. Richardson has 962 rushing yards which is tied for 4th and 17 TDs which is 3rd most in the nation. The do host #1 LSU which will be very tricky this week, but if they can win that game they should cruise to a spot in the National Title game. Besides LSU, Alabama is the best team in the country. My Rank: 2nd

3. Oklahoma State Cowboys 8-0 (5-0)
 Next Game: vs. Kansas State
Last Game:
vs. Baylor, W 59-24.
Last Week Rank: 3rd
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Fiesta
More Information: Since LSU and Alabama play each other, 1 team most lose so Oklahoma State could be the team now since Oklahoma lost to take the loser place. They have the best WR in the nation in  Justin Blackmon. He is tied for 2nd in the nation with 10 TDs catches. The have face one loss Kansas State this week, which looks easier after they were drummed by Oklahoma this past week. They also play one loss Oklahoma later on in the season at home. They are really tested already haven beaten Texas and Texas A&M on the road. They have no conference title game they have to win which helps them stay unbeaten easier. If they do win out the should face the winner of Alabama and LSU in the National Title Game. My Rank: 3rd

4. Stanford Cardinals 8-0 (6-0)
Next Game: @ Oregon State
Last Game:
@ USC, W 56-48 in 3OT.
Last Week Rank: 6th
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Rose
More Information: Andrew Luck could easily be the best QB in the nation. Stanford has had a good defense allowing 17 points per game. They did beat USC in 3 overtimes but they looked good must of the game. They have Oregon at home in 2 weeks which if Oregon is healthy will be very hard. They have 2-6 Oregon State should be easy this week before having to play Oregon. If Stanford can beat Oregon they should win the Pac-12 North and probably win the Pac-12 Title Game to earn a spot in the Rose Bowl or maybe even a BCS Title Game bid if Oklahoma State loss to someone. My Rank: 4th

5. Boise State Broncos 7-0 (2-0)
Next Game: @ UNLV.
Last Game: vs. Air Force, W 37-26.

Last Week Rank: 4th
Projected BCS Bowl: Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Kellen Moore is very accurate with 24 TDs which is 4th in the nation and only 5 INTs. He also has a 76.3% Completion Percentage which is 1st in the nation. Boise State will probably go undefeated. I think though they shouldn't play for the National Title because they beat cupcakes every week. They only have played 1 ranked team and Georgia was only 19th when they played. I would take a one loss SEC team before I would pick Boise State for a National Title bid. If they want to have a bid for the National Title this year they need most if not all teams to have at least 1 loss. The average number of wins in the SEC is 5.2, the Big 10 is 5.0 wins, Big 12 is 5.1 wins and Pac-12 is 4.4 wins. In the Mountain West it is only 3.9 wins on average. They play a 6-2 TCU team in 2 weeks will be somewhat hard but they don't play hard enough teams to deserved a bid for the National Title. My Rank: 6th
6. Oklahoma Sooners 7-1 (4-1)
Next Game: vs. Texas A&M
Last Game:
@ Kansas State, W 58-17.
Last Week Rank: 9th
Projected BCS Bowl: Fiesta / Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Oklahoma was upset 2 weeks ago at home vs. Texas Tech. They are still a really good team, but they lost their chance to go the BCS National Title Game. They have the possible best QB in the nation in  Landry Jones. The have went to undefeated Kansas State and drummed them. They scored 35 unanswered points in the 2nd half. Oklahoma State later on in the season will be very hard. Texas A&M will be somewhat hard, but I think they can win. If they can win at Oklahoma State, they will win the Big 12 and earn a bid to the Fiesta Bowl. They still can make it to another BCS Bowl with they only lose to Oklahoma State at the end of the season.  My Rank: 7th
7. Arkansas Razorbacks 7-1 (3-1)
Next Game: vs. South Carolina
Last Game:
@ Vanderbilt, W 31-28.
Last Week Rank: 10th
Projected BCS Bowl: Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Arkansas looked questionable again at Vanderbilt. They had to come back from a 28-17 hole at during the third quarter. Arkansas' only lose to Alabama. Tyler Wilson has been quite good. Wilson has 2327 Passing Yards which is 13th most in the nation. They beat Auburn and Texas A&M both strong wins. I don't think they can win at LSU. Also South Carolina this week will be hard, but they should be able to win since they are at home They will need a lot of help to win the SEC West and then win the SEC. They are good and can still make a BCS Bowl, but need more help to move up higher. My Rank: 8th

8. Oregon Ducks 7-1 (5-0)
Next Game: @ Washington
Last Game:
vs. Washington State, W 43-28.

Last Week Rank: 7th
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose / Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Oregon's offensive is amazing again averaging 47.5 PPG. Their only loss was to LSU the first game of the year. LaMichael James the best RB in the nation probably. They put up 43 points on Washington State with James and Thomas playing a little bit. They have at Washington this week on the road. This game will be hard, but if James and Thomas both play well they should win pretty easily. Also in 2 weeks they get Stanford on the road which will very hard. If they win the next 2 games they win the North and should handle who ever wins the South and win the Pac-12 to make it to the Rose Bowl. My Rank: 6th

9. South Carolina Gamecocks 7-1 (5-1)
Next Game: @ South Carolina
Last Game: @ Tennessee, W 14-3.

Last Week Rank: 13th
Projected BCS Bowl: Sugar / Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Their only loss is to 6-3 Auburn at home by 3 points. They have one of the best RB in the nation with Marcus Lattimore, but he got hurt vs. Mississippi State and didn't play this past week. South Carolina will need him to play so they can beat Arkansas. They already beat Georgia who should be the only other team that could win the SEC East. If they can go to Arkansas and win they should win SEC East. If they can get really lucky they might be able to beat the LSU / Alabama winner in the SEC Title Game. If they win the SEC they earn a bid to the Sugar Bowl if not they will probably be invited to the Orange or Fiesta Bowl instead. My Rank: 9th

10. Nebraska Cornhuskers 7-1 (3-1)
Next Game: @ South Carolina
Last Game: vs. Michigan State, W 24-3.

Last Week Rank: 14th
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose / Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Their only loss is to 6-2 Wisconsin on the road. They now have beaten Michigan State they lead the Legends Division in the Big 10. They can have to beat Michigan and Penn State on the road which will both be really hard. They struggled vs. Wisconsin on the road losing 31 points. Besides Penn State and Michigan, they get Iowa and Northwestern at home. If they go 4-0 Penn State should wait them in the Big 10 Championship Game most likely. My Rank: 10th

Recap of the 2011 World Series: St. Louis Cardinals are the 2011 World Series Champions

The St. Louis Cardinals won Game 7 of the World Series to win the 2011 World Series. The final score was 6 to 2. This was the Cardinals 11th World Series Title in team history. David Freese was MVP of the series for the Cardinals. He hit .348 (8 for 23) with 1 HR and 7 R.B.I.s. Freese became the 6th player to win LCS MVP and World Series MVP in the same year. Game 6 was the first extra inning game in the World Series since 2005. The Cardinals in that game became the first team ever to come back from down 2 runs or more in the 9th inning or later twice in World Series history. They were down 5-7 in the 9th and down 7-9 in the 10th and came back each time. They won the game on a walk-off home run by Freese. Also this was the first World Series to go to 7 games since 2002 when the Angels beat the Giants. Freese also set a MLB Postseason record with 21 R.B.I.s. Albert Pujols had a OK series batting .240 (6 for 25) with 3 HRs and 6  R.B.I.s. Pujols tied a World Series record with 3 HRs in a game. Albert Pujols now has two World Series rings in 3 tries, winning in 2006 and 2011 and losing in 2004. Albert Pujols is a free agent now by since they won I can't imagine him leaving the Cardinals to go to a different team. Albert would probably want to beat Alex Rodrigez's 10 year, 275 million dollar contract with a 10 year 300 million dollar. I think though the Cardinals will be smart and sign him to a 8 or 9 year deal worth about 224 to 261 million which is between 28 and 29 million a year which is more than Rodrigez per year but not over all. That way his contract expires when he is 39 or 40 and not 41 going on 42. Cardinals are very good team I assume if Pujols resigns and since they get Adam Wainwright back, with Chris Carpenter they could easily win the NL Central definitely if Prince Fielder leaves the Brewers. They might not be the best NL team because they Phillies will still have at least 3 of the 4 pitching aces still on their team and a great offense, but they are the 2nd best team in the NL if not. Tony LaRussa has won 3 World Series Championships as a manger one with the A's in 1989 and 2 with the Cardinals in 2006 and 2011. He is now tied for 6th most World Series Championships with 3 other mangers. Also next season LaRussa should pass John McGraw for 2nd most manger wins all time, he is only 35 behind McGraw.
The Texas Rangers lost again in the World Series last year losing to the Giants in 5 games. I guessing right now they can win the weak AL West next year again, but to make a 3-peat to the World Series will be very hard. They are still a good team that will compete in the AL.

2011 BCS Rankings Update: Week 9

The second BCS rankings of the year came out Sunday. This week in College Football was crazy. #3 Oklahoma lost at home to unranked Texas Tech. Also #6 Wisconsin lost at #16 Michigan State on a hail mary pass at the end of the game. A total of 7 ranked team lost this week. In the Top 10 in the BCS only the Top 2 teams stayed the same.

1. LSU Tigers 8-0 (5-0)
Next Game: @ Alabama.
Last Game: vs. Auburn, W 45-10.
Last Week Rank: 1st
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Sugar
More Information: After beating Auburn easily this week. LSU is clearly the #1 team in the Nation. They now have beaten 5 ranked teams. Their defense is amazing only giving up 12 points in the 1st quarter, they also are the only team not to allow a TD in the 1st quarter in the nation. They should go undefeated, but the do have to go to #2 Alabama in 2 weeks. Arkansas could be tough at the end of the season, but LSU is the favorite has of now to win it all. My Rank: 1st

2. Alabama Crimson Tide 8-0 (5-0)
Next Game: vs. LSU
Last Game: vs. Tennessee, W 37-6.
Last Week Rank: 2nd
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Sugar
More Information:  Alabama defense is great giving up no more than 14 points in any game. They are only letting opponents score an average of  6.9 points per game. They have Heisman candidate Trent Richardson is a beast running the football. Richardson has 962 rushing yards and 17 TDs which are both 2nd most in the nation. The do host #1 LSU which will be tricky in 2 weeks, but if they can win that game they should cruise to a spot in the National Title game. Besides LSU, Alabama is the best team in the country. My Rank: 2nd

3. Oklahoma State Cowboys 7-0 (4-0)
 Next Game: vs. Baylor
Last Game: @ Missouri, W 45-24.
Last Week Rank: 4th
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Fiesta
More Information: Since LSU and Alabama play each other, 1 team most lose so Oklahoma State could be the team now since Oklahoma lost this week, as long as they beat Oklahoma in December. They have the best WR in the nation in  Justin Blackmon. The have face undefeated Kansas State and one loss Oklahoma later on in the season both at home. They are really tested already haven beaten Texas and Texas A&M on the road. They have no conference title game they have to win which helps them stay unbeaten easier. If they do win out the should face the winner of Alabama and LSU in the National Title Game. My Rank: 3rd

 4. Boise State Broncos 7-0 (2-0)
Next Game: @ UNLV.
Last Game: vs. Air Force, W 37-26.
Last Week Rank: 5th
Projected BCS Bowl: Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Kellen Moore is very accurate with 24 TDs which is tied for 1st in the nation and only 5 INTs. He also has a 76.3% Completion Percentage which is also 2nd in the nation. Boise State will probably go undefeated. I think though they shouldn't play for the National Title because they beat cupcakes every week. They only have played 1 ranked team and Georgia was only 19th when they played. I would take a one loss SEC team before I would pick Boise State for a National Title bid. With they want to have a bid for the National Title this year they need most if not all teams to have at least 1 loss. The average number of wins in the SEC is 4.8, the Big 10 is 4.5 wins, Big 12 is 4.6 wins and Pac-12 is 3.9 wins In the Mountain West it is only 3.4 wins on average.  A 5-2 TCU team they play in 3 weeks will be somewhat hard but they don't play hard enough teams to deserved a bid for the National Title. My Rank: 6th

5. Clemson Tigers 8-0 (5-0)
Next Game: @ Georgia Tech
Last Game: vs. North Carolina, W 59-38.
Last Week Rank: 7th
Projected BCS Bowl: Orange
More Information: Tajh Boyd has 2379 Passing Yards which is 7th in the nation, he also has 24 TDs which is tied for most in the nation. He is turning into a possible Heisman candidate. Andre Ellington who has 745 Rushing Yards which is 22nd most in the nation he is a very good runner. Clemson looked really good. Georgia who is 6-2 isn't going to be a easy win but since Georgia Tech lost to Miami this week, Clemson should be able to do it. They did go into Virginia Tech and win the first ACC teams to win in Lane Stadium since 2009. They should win the ACC Atlantic Division, but they might have to face Virginia Tech again for the ACC Title and they might not get lucky and win again. All and all they are a very solid team that could win the ACC and earn a Orange Bowl bid. They also have an outside chance for a BCS Title Game appearance. My Rank: 5th

6. Stanford Cardinals 7-0 (5-0)
Next Game: vs. @ USC
Last Game: vs. Washington, W 65-21.
Last Week Rank: 8th
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose
More Information: Andrew Luck could easily be the best QB in the nation. Stanford has had a really good defense only allowing 12.6 points per game. They beating Washington easily which was a good showing since they had faced a ranked team before that. They have Oregon at home in 3 weeks which if Oregon is healthy will be very hard. If Stanford can beat Oregon they should win the Pac-12 North and probably win the Pac-12 Title Game to earn a spot in the Rose Bowl. My Rank: 4th

7. Oregon Ducks 6-1 (4-0)
Next Game: vs. Washington State
Last Game: @ Colorado, W 41-27.
Last Week Rank: 10th
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose / Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Oregon's offensive is amazing again averaging 48.1 PPG. Their only loss was to LSU the first game of the year. LaMichael James the best RB in the nation probably was injured for last game. Also Darren Thomas got hurt in the last game so that is something to note. Even without offensive stars James and Thomas they put 45 points on Colorado and won with a problem. They can continue to rest vs. Washington State this week which should be easy. They have at Washington and Stanford back to back weeks both on the road. If they win those games they win the North and should handle who ever wins the South and win the Pac-12 to make it to the Rose Bowl. Injuries is a problem, but they look really good anyway. My Rank: 7th

9. Kansas State Wildcats 7-0 (4-0)
Next Game: vs. Oklahoma
Last Game: @ Kansas, W 59-21.
Last Week Rank: 11th
Projected BCS Bowl: Fiesta
More Information: Kansas State is probably the 2nd best team in the Big 12. This week they get to prove how good they are. They have Oklahoma visiting them which will be a real challenge since they have only faced 1 ranked team. They also have to go to Oklahoma State in 2 weeks which will be very tricky. They are solid team, I'm just not sure how good yet. My Rank: 8th

9. Oklahoma Sooners 6-1 (3-1)
Next Game: @ Kansas State
Last Game: vs. Texas Tech, L 38-41.
Last Week Rank: 3rd
Projected BCS Bowl: Fiesta
More Information: Oklahoma was upset this week at home vs. Texas Tech. They are still a really good team, but they lost their chance to go the BCS National Title Game. They have the possible best QB in the nation in  Landry Jones. The have a really tough remaining schedule. 3 of the 5 teams are ranked. The have to go to undefeated Kansas State this next week and Oklahoma State later on in the season. If they can win the tough games and win the rest of the games. They will win the Big 12 and earn a bid to the Fiesta Bowl. They still can make it to another BCS Bowl if they only lose 1 more game.  My Rank: 9th

10. Arkansas Razorbacks 6-1 (2-1)
Next Game: @ Vanderbilt
Last Game: @ Mississippi, W 29-24.
Last Week Rank: 9th
Projected BCS Bowl: Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Arkansas looked questionable vs. Mississippi. They had to come back from a 17-0 hole at half time. Arkansas' only lose to Alabama. Tyler Wilson has been quite good. Wilson has 2011 Passing Yards which is 12th most in the nation. They beat Auburn and Texas A&M both strong wins. I don't think they can win at LSU and they might loss to South Carolina later. They will need a lot of help to win the SEC West and then win the SEC. They are good and can still make a BCS Bowl, but need more help to move up. My Rank: 11th

Preview of the 2011 World Series: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Texas Rangers

Texas Rangers won the ALCS 4 games to 2 to advance to the 2011 World Series. The Texas Rangers beat the Tampa Bays 3 games to 1 in the ALDS and beat the Tigers in the ALCS. Nelson Cruz won MVP in the ALCS. He had 6 homeruns and 13 R.B.I.s in the series which are both MLB Postseason series records. His batting average for the series was .364 (8 for 22). Texas Rangers won the American League last year also. That was their 1st AL Pennant. This is their 2nd Pennant. They lose to the Giants last year in 5 games. So they are looking for their first World Series Championship. They are the first back to back AL Champion since the Yankees who appeared from 1998-2001. Also they are looking to become the first team since Oakland in 1989 to win a World Series after losing the last year.
St. Louis Cardinals won the NLCS 4 games to 2 to advance to the 2011 World Series as well. The Cardinals beat the Phillies 3 games to 2 in the NLDS and beat the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS. The Cardinals probably beat the best 2 teams to get to the World Series. They beat the Phillies who were almost evreyone's favorite and the Brewers ho had the best MLB home record. This was the Cardinals 18th Pennant. The are hoping to win their 11th World Series. The MVP of the NLCS was David Freese who hit .545 (12 for 22) with 3 home runs and 9 R.B.I.s. This is the Cardinals 3 trip in 8 years to the World Series. Lossing in 2004 in the Red Sox and winning in 2006 vs. the Tigers. This could also be the last time we see Albert Pujols in a Cardinals uniform because he is a free agent at the end of the year.
The World Series home field is given to St. Louis because the NL won the All-Star Game 5-1 and the winning league gets home field in the World Series.

Predictions:
Game 1: Texas @ St. Louis: St. Louis 7, Texas 5, 11 Innings. St. Louis leads the series 1-0.
Game 2: Texas @ St. Louis: St. Louis 9, Texas 3. St. Louis leads the series 2-0.
Game 3: St. Louis @ Texas: Texas 5, St. Louis 4. St. Louis leads the series 2-1.
Game 4: St. Louis @ Texas: St. Louis 5, Texas 2. St. Louis leads the series 3-1.
Game 5: St. Louis @ Texas: Texas 9, St. Louis 5. St. Louis leads the series 3-2.
Game 6: Texas @ St. Louis: St. Louis 3, Texas 2. St. Louis wins the series 4-2.
St. Louis Cardinals are 2011 World Series Champions.
Albert Pujols wins 2011 World Series MVP. .407 (11 for 27) AVG, 4 HRs and 9 R.B.I.s.

2011 BCS Rankings Update: Week 8

The first BCS rankings came out Sunday. I will be give my thoughts on the Top 10 teams for every week leading up to the bowl games. I will tell you about their last week performance and the games ahead of them. Also the strengths and weakness I see in each team.

1. LSU Tigers 7-0 (4-0)
Next Game: vs. Auburn.
Last Game: @ Tennessee, W 38-7.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Sugar
More Information: After beating then 3rd ranked Oregon the first game of the season, beat then 16th ranked West Virginia and then 17th ranked Florida, LSU is easily the #1 team in the Nation. They should go undefeated, but the do have to go to #2 Alabama. Arkansas could be tough at the end of the season, but LSU is the favorite has of now to win it all. My Rank: 1st
2. Alabama Crimson Tide 7-0 (4-0)
Next Game: vs. Tennessee.
Last Game: @ Mississippi, W 52-7.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Sugar
More Information: Alabama defense is great giving up no more than 14 points in any game. They have Heisman candidate Trent Richardson is a beast running the football. The do host #1 LSU which will be tricky, but if they can win that game they should cruise to a spot in the National Title game. Besides LSU, Alabama is the best team in the country. My Rank: 2nd

3. Oklahoma Sooners 6-0 (3-0)
Next Game: vs. Texas Tech
Last Game: @ Kansas, W 47-17.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: BCS Title / Fiesta
More Information: Oklahoma is probably the next best team have the 2 SEC heavy weights. Since LSU and Alabama play each other, 1 team most lose so Oklahoma most likely would take the 2nd spot. They have the possible best QB in the nation in  Landry Jones. The have a really tough remaining schedule. 4 of the 6 teams are ranked. The have to go to undefeated Kansas State and Oklahoma State later on in the season. If they can win the tough games they have no conference title game they have to win.  My Rank: 3rd

4. Oklahoma State Cowboys 6-0 (3-0)
Next Game: @ Missouri
Last Game: @ Texas, W 38-26.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Fiesta
More Information: Since LSU and Alabama play each other, 1 team most lose so Oklahoma State could beat Oklahoma at home the last game of the season and go to the Title Game. They have the best WR in the nation in  Justin Blackmon. 3 of the 6 teams are ranked that the have left to face. The have face undefeated Kansas State and Oklahoma later on in the season both at home. They are really tested already haven beaten Texas and Texas A&M on the road. They have no conference title game they have to win which helps them stay unbeaten easier.  My Rank: 5th

5. Boise State Broncos 6-0 (1-0)
Next Game: vs. Air Force
Last Game: @ Colorado State, W 63-13.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Kellen Moore is very accurate with 21 TDs which is tied for 2nd in the nation and only 4 INTs. He also has a 75.9% Completion Percentage which is also 2nd in the nation. The average number of wins in the SEC is 4.3, the Big 10 is 4.1 wins, Big 12 is 4.2 wins and Pac-12 is 3.4 wins In the Mountain West it is only 3.1 wins on average. That is why Boise State doesn't deserved a bid. My Rank: 6th

6. Wisconsin Badgers 6-0 (2-0)
Next Game: @ Michigan State
Last Game: vs. Indiana, W 59-7.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose
More Information: Russell Wilson graduated form NC State and since he could play football 1 more year, he decided to come to Wisconsin and he is a possible Heisman candidate. They aren't really tested, but they beat Nebraska their hardest game of the year really easily. They do have to go to Michigan State and Illinois who both have only 1 loss. If the can win and some higher teams lose they could sneak into the National Title Game and could compete with a SEC team. My Rank: 4th

7. Clemson Tigers 7-0 (4-0)
Next Game: vs. North Carolina
Last Game: @ Maryland, W 56-45.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Orange
More Information: Tajh Boyd has 2012 Passing Yards which is 7th in the nation he is very solid. Andre Ellington who has 740 Rushing Yards which is 14th most in the nation he is a very good runner. Clemson struggled vs. Maryland have to comeback from down from 17 in the 3rd to win. They could have lost which does look good because Maryland isn't a great team. They did go into Virginia Tech and the first ACC team to win in Lane Stadium since 2009. I believe they could win the ACC Atlantic Division, but they might have to face Virginia Tech again for the ACC Title and they might not get lucky and win again. All and all they are a very solid team that could win the ACC and earn a Orange Bowl bid. My Rank: 8th

8. Stanford 6-0 (4-0)
Next Game: vs. Washington
Last Game: @ Washington, W 44-14.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose
More Information: Andrew Luck could easily be the best QB in the nation. Stanford has had a really good defense never allowing more than 14 points, but they have played a ranked team yet. They have a challenge this week with 5-1 Washington. Also they have Oregon had home later in the year which if Oregon is healthy will be very hard. If Stanford can beat Oregon and Washington they should win the Pac-12 North and probably win the Pac-12 Title Game to earn a spot in the Rose Bowl. My Rank: 7th

9. Arkansas Razorbacks 5-1 (1-1)
Next Game: @ Mississippi
Last Game: vs. Auburn, W 38-14.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Arkansas looked good only losing to Alabama. Tyler Wilson has been quite good. They beat Auburn and Texas A&M both strong wins. I don't think they can win at LSU and they might loss to South Carolina. They will need a lot of help to win the SEC West and then win the SEC. They are good and can still make a BCS Bowl, but need more help to move up. My Rank: 10th

10. Oregon Ducks 5-1 (3-0)
Next Game: @ Colorado
Last Game: vs. Arizona State, W 41-27.
Last Week Rank: 1st Week of BCS.
Projected BCS Bowl: Rose/Any one besides the Title Game
More Information: Oregon's offensive is amazing again averaging 48.7 PPG. They looked really good vs. Arizona State this past week. Their only loss was to LSU the first game of the year. LaMichael James the best RB in the nation probably was injured for last game. Also Darren Thomas got hurt in the last game so that is something to note. Beating Colorado should be easy, but they have at Washington and Stanford back to back weeks. If they win those games they win the North and should handle who ever wins the South and win the Pac-12 to make it to the Rose Bowl. Injuries is a problem, but they look really good. My Rank: 9th
