2011 NCAA Basketball Tournament Sweet Sixteen Predictions

East Region:
#1 Ohio State vs. #4 Kentucky: I think that Ohio State will be challenged, but I think that Ohio State is too good to go down in this round. I think though Ohio State win but not by much.
#2 North Carolina vs. #11 Marquette: Marquette has had a great run but there is almost no way they are going to stop North Carolina. North Carolina is too good and won't be stop this round. North Carolina wins comfortably.
West Region:
#1 Duke vs. #5 Arizona: I think that Arizona could beat Duke if Derrick Williams plays well. I think though Duke will be too good for Arizona. Duke should win, but it might be close.
#2 San Diego State vs. #3 Connecticut: I don't think that San Diego State can handle Kemba Walker. San Diego State has only won 2 tournament games ever. I think Connecticut ends San Diego State run this round. I think Connecticut will win, but San Diego State will put up a fight.
Southwest Region:
#1 Kansas vs. #12 Richmond: Richmond has had a nice run but they can't stand a chance versus Kansas. Kansas is too good for any team left in this region. Kansas wins easy.
#10 Florida State vs. #11 Virginia Commonwealth: Virginia Commonwealth has won 3 games so far. This game will be very close. I think Florida State is good, but I think Virginia Commonwealth wins the game close.
Southeast Region:
#4 Wisconsin vs. #8 Butler: Both teams looked good beat their last team. I think that Butler is very good after beating #1 Pittsburgh. Wisconsin is good too after beating #5 Kansas State. I think that Butler keeps the luck going and they sneak by.
#2 Florida vs. #3 Brigham Young: Both have an amazing scorer. Jimmer Fredette is the nation's leading scorer. I think that Brigham Young can win if Jimmer Fredette can have a big game. I think Jimmer leads Brigham Young to a Elite Eight, Florida won't be able stop Jimmer. Brigham Young wins in a close game.

He is also 9th in RPG in the nation. Malcolm Thomas also is a force with 11.5 PPG and 8.2 RPG which is 2nd on the team in both. They received a #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
#7 North Carolina is 26-7, they lost #3 Duke in the ACC Final. They are lead by Harrison Barnes who averages 15 PPG and 5.5 RPG, he leads the team in PPG. They also have Tyler Zeller who averages 14.5 PPG and 7.1 RPG which is 2nd on team in both. North Carolina leads the nation in RPG at 42.5 per game. The key to beat them is beat the on the boards and this hard. They received a #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
#8 Texas is 27-7, they lost to #2 Kansas in Big 12 Championship Game. They are lead by Jordan Hamilton and Tristan Thompson. Hamilton averages 18.6 PPG and 7.6 RPG which is 1st and 2nd on the team, Thompson averages 13.3 PPG and 7.8 RPG which is 2nd and 1st on the team. They are 5th in the nation in RPG at 40.5. There defense is amazing too. They received a #4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. I thought the should have gotten a 2 or a 3 seed.
#9 Connecticut is 26-9, they beat #14 Louisville in the Big East Finals. They became the first team to win 5 games in 5 days to win a conference tournament. They are lead by potential National Player Of They Year, Kemba Walker who averages 23.5 PPG and 4.3 APG and 5.3 RPG, he leads the team in PPG and APG. Walker is also fourth in the nation in PPG. They are 11th in the nation in RPG at 39.6. They jumped up from #21 to #9 in the last poll. They received a #3 seed in the NCAA Tournament which is a big move after their conference tournament run.
#10 Brigham Young is 30-4, they lost to #6 San Diego State in the Mountain West Conference Final. They are lead by potential National Player Of They Year, Jimmer Fredette. He averages 28.5 PPG and 4.2 APG which leads the team in both. Jimmer also leads the nation in PPG. Jimmer has 4 games over 40 points this year and a 52 point game. He also shoots 40.4% from three. They received a #3 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Ohio State is good down low and good from deep, but Texas has great defense and a solid offense. Connecticut is also dangerous after what they did in the Big East Tournament. You also can't count out defending champion, Duke who might have Kyrie Irving coming back for the NCAA Tournament. Kansas' offense is amazing. Though, I think that Ohio State is the best in college basketball.

Who is the best in Collge Basketball in 2010-11? Part 1

Who is the best College Basketball this is a tough one, because there no one great team like in years past. I will debate the top 10 teams in the AP poll. Then I will say who I think is the best.
#1 Ohio State is 32-2, they beat Penn State yesterday in the Big Ten Finals. They have potential Player Of The Year in Jared Sullinger, who is averaging 17.3 PPG and 9.7 RPG. Also John Diebler can light it up from three, he is 4th in the nation shooting 51.1% from deep. They received a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and #1 overall seed.
#2 Kansas is 32-2, they beat  #8 Texas in the Big 12 Championship yesterday. They are lead by the Morris brothers with Marcus leads the team with 17.2 PPG and is 2nd with 7.1 RPG. Markieff is 2nd with 13.3 PPG and 1st with 8.2 RPG. The Jayhawks are also 1st in the nation at APG and Feild Goal % per game. They received a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
#3 Duke is 28-4, they beat #7 North Carolina ACC Finals. Nolan Smith, the ACC Player Of The Year, he averages 21.6 PPG and 5.2 APG which is top on the team in both. Kyrie Irving averages 17.4 PPG and 5.1 APG which is 2nd on the team in the both. Irving has not played since Dec. 4 and might not play anymore this season. With the good win, they received a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
#4 Pittsburgh is 27-5, they lost to #9 Connecticut on Thursday in the Big East Quarter-Finals. They are lead by Ashton Gibbs who is 1st on the team with 16.7 PPG and he is 10th in the nation with 48% three point shooting. They also have Brad Wanamaker that averages 12 PPG, 5.3 RPG and 5.1 APG. Still they received a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Kobe Bryant is now in 6th on the All-Time Scoring List

Kobe passed Moses Malone last night on the All-Time NBA Scoring List. Just this season Kobe has gone from 13th to 6th, passing John Havlicek, Dominique Wilkins, Oscar Robertson, Hakeem Olajuwon, Elvin Hayes and now Moses Malone. Kobe is only 1167 points behind Shaquille O'Neal for 5th. At his career average of 25 PPG, he will pass Shaq in 47 games, so sometime early next year. Wilt Chamberlain is 4th with 31419, Michael Jordan is 3rd with 32292, Karl Malone is 2nd with 36928 and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is 1st with 38387. Kobe needs 10965 to pass Kareem. I assume that Kobe wants to pass Kareem, Kobe plays about 72 games a season, it will take him about 6 season to pass Kareem, he will have to play until he 37 to pass Kareem. Kobe though might want 40000 points, which will take about 7 season, if Kobe's stats stay the same. He will be then almost 38 and played in the NBA 22 seasons.
