Preview of the 2012 NCAA Basketball Championship Game: Kentucky Wildcats vs. Kansas Jayhawks

In the 2012 NCAA Basketball Championship Game the Kentucky Wildcats will face the Kansas Jayhawks. Kentucky toke care of Louisville in their Semi-Final winning 69 to 61. Kansas had some trouble with Ohio State in their Semi-Final but they came back from down 13 points to win 64 to 62. This is Kentucky's 11th National Championship Game and they are looking to win their 8th National Championship in school history. This is Kansas' 9th National Championship Game and they are looking to win their 4th National Championship in school history.
Preview: Both of the teams have great centers. Anthony Davis is the Player of the Year from Kentucky he averages 14.3 PPG, 10 RPG and 4.6 BPG. Thomas Robinson for Kansas is probably the second best player in the nation and he averages 17.9 PPG and 11.7 RPG. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is also an amazing talent he averages 11.8 PPG and 7.6 RPG. Some people think these 3 players will be the top 3 picks in this year NBA Draft if they all declare for the draft. Kentucky and Kansas both have similar stats with Kentucky just barely better ones. Kentucky averages 77.1 PPG compared to Kansas who averages 75.0 PPG. Kentucky averages 39.2 RPG compared to Kansas who averages 36.9 RPG. Kentucky shoots 48.7% compared to Kansas who shoots 48.5%. Kansas does average more assists. Kansas averages 15.6 APG and Kentucky only averages 13.3 APG. Kentucky also had been winning by more in the Tournament than Kansas. Kentucky has won by an average of 12.6 PPG and Kansas only 9.2 PPG. These two teams to did play on a neutral court on November 15 this season with Kentucky winning 75 to 65 but that was way too long to take anything from it.
Prediction: I believe with Anthony Davis great length and ability he will give Thomas Robinson big challenge. Doron Lamb and Tyshawn Taylor will be fun to watch go out it because they both good guards. I believe that Kentucky is just to deep for Kansas. Kentucky has Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marquis Teague and Darius Miller that Kansas has no one that could stop all three. Also Terrence Jones is important for Kentucky because if he can play like he did last year he too is very hard to stop. I expect the game to be close but Kentucky should be in control of the game for the most part. I believe that Kentucky has far more scoring, rebounding and speed for Kansas and that is far too much for Kansas to come back from. Anthony has another double-double with 4 or 5 blocks and ends his college career winning the National Title.
Final Score: Kentucky 76, Kansas 71.
2012 National Basketball Champions are the Kentucky Wildcats (38-2).
Anthony Davis is the 2012 NCAA Basketball Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
